Each Sunday we spend time together growing the Word. Fresh popcorn and other refreshments are provided. For an hour, we enjoy open discussion about various topics, presented and discussed in a welcoming, informal, and comfortable format.

Apologetics: Defending the Faith
This Bible class equips the Christian to make a reasoned argument to the skeptic for the existence of God and the resurrection of Jesus, but to do so with gentleness and respect. Here’s what’s coming as we wrap up this topic:

How were Old Testament Christians saved? In the same way we are: by faith in Jesus. However, their faith looked forward to the day when Jesus, the Messiah would come. As they trusted and waited, they faced challenges to their faith and rose to those challenges in extraordinary circumstances. This Bible study examines the faith of Old Testament men and women as mentioned in Hebrews 11 and helps us learn and live from their examples.

Christlight for Kids every Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
This is a fun learning time for children preschool through 6th grade. Each week children learn a different story that shows them God’s love and wisdom. Here’s what’s coming this month:

An Adult Bible Information Class begins February 6th!
This is an adult level class on the basic teachings of the Christian faith led in an informal and user-friendly way. There is no obligation for membership, although this is the course that prepares people for membership in Ascension Lutheran Church. All materials are free of charge. 7:00-8:00 p.m. each Thursday beginning on February 6th. Interested? Contact Pastor Simons or just come and check it out for a session or two!
